Cathedral Basilica, St. Louis Missouri
In order to ensure patients receive quality care, we ask two Columbia hospitals how they can deny admitting privileges to Planned Parenthood Columbia Health Center’s physicians and still claim to be honoring the Hippocratic Oath. Their refusal puts the reproductive health of Missouri citizens at risk, by placing severe burdens on patients seeking legal healthcare procedures.
While the surrounding hospitals may have declined comment to NPR on this article NPR: 1 Abortion Clinic Remains Open In Missouri, Following New State Requirements … We, being residents, who may at some point seek healthcare at their institutions deserve answers. Though these admitting privilege requirements are completely unnecessary and would not place a patient at risk, they serve simply to shutter the doors to reproductive choice.
“Hippocrates, the central historical figure in Greek medicine during the 5th century BCE, authored a group of medical treatises known collectively as the Hippocratic Corpus. It was Hippocrates who first attempted to separate the practice of medicine from religion and superstition. His Hippocratic Oath was remarkable in terms of the moral standards he sought to establish for the healing profession.”
Are these hospitals more inclined to serve our health needs using modern science and medicine or in pushing a religious agenda? We believe citizens of Columbia, Missouri deserve access to quality, science-based and secular-minded healthcare. We are deeply concerned about the ethics and merit of hospitals who don’t take our reproductive health needs seriously.
We call upon the scientists and physicians on staff at University Hospital and the University of Missouri to step forward. We ask them to publicly acknowledge: Ignoring the reproductive health needs of the University of Missouri student body is ultimately hazardous to their health.
We challenge the University of Missouri to take appropriate steps, and to recognize denying legal health care is damaging to the reputation and credibility of the academic institution itself.
We ask MIZZOU Alumni to step up. To make yourselves heard.
According to Google Maps:
University Hospital is 7 minutes away.
Boone Hospital is 6 minutes away.
We demand direct answers from these two hospitals closest to Planned Parenthood Columbia Health Center as to the specific reasoning used to deny any well-trained physician admitting privileges.
May science and reason always triumph over myth and superstition.
The Roman Catholic Church recently held a “Forgiveness Mass” on Friday, August 17th2018 in Harrisburg Pennsylvania after the disclosure of a vast cover-up of pedophilia, child-trafficking, molestation, and exploitation.
In response, at midnight on September 14th, the Ordo Sororitatis Satanicae performed a ritual at the St. Louis Cathedral Basilica.
The OSS finds this pompous display of self-forgiveness outrageous. The Church refuses to take responsibility for its crimes, instead blaming demons, the LGBTQIA community, women, and even their own victims.
The OSS will not countenance these perpetrators, nor their pretense of piety. Perhaps their demented deity will forgive them. We will not.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 15th, 2018
The State of Missouri, May 15, 2018 –
The Ordo Sororitatis Satanicae (OSS) will deliver a Lilituan Invocation and ceremonial benediction on the 1st Floor Rotunda of the Missouri Capitol building, this Friday May 18th, 2018, at 1:30PM in the afternoon; to commemorate the opening of the 2018 Missouri Special Legislative Session.
The OSS feels there has never been a more important period in our lifetimes for the marginalized to step forward and make their voices heard. The OSS is delighted to provide their invocation to Missouri legislators in the Capitol Rotunda, though the original request to deliver the House’s opening invocation was on the date of May 3rd, the National Day of Prayer [directed to House Speaker Todd Richardson]. The OSS’s repeated requests to deliver an invocation was never acknowledged, despite having been submitted in a timely manner on April 11th, 2018.
We invite the good people of Missouri, distinguished members of the Press, and especially the members of the Missouri Legislature for whom this sacrament is intended, to be present as these words and solemn wishes are spoken.
“In the spirit of religious plurality, the voices of the religiously marginalized deserve an opportunity to join in the process of Missouri House prayer rituals and ceremony. Our invocation service mission is reflective in nature and is designed to encourage logical thought within the legislative arena. We are delighted to offer this solemn reading to our legislators as part of our meaningful sacramental service work.” – Nikki Moungo, Dame Sister OSS
The Ordo Sororitatis Satanicae (OSS) was founded in February, 2017 as a devoutly feminist, Left Hand Path organization.
